Palazzo dell'Acqua, Neo-Romanesque palace and modern art museum in Bari, Italy

The Palazzo dell'Acquedotto Pugliese displays intricate stonework on its facade, featuring decorative arches made from Trani stone and detailed sculptures throughout the building.

Constructed between 1925 and 1932, the palace served as headquarters for the Apulian Aqueduct, marking a turning point in southern Italy's water infrastructure development.

Artist Duilio Cambellotti created the interior decorations, incorporating water-themed elements through murals, sculptures, and ornamental patterns across multiple floors.

The museum opens every Saturday and Sunday with free admission, offering guided tours that explain both the architectural features and contemporary art exhibitions.

The building's bronze door handles take the shape of arches, while wooden frames and intarsia work depicting swallows decorate the former ballroom.
