Hoki Museum, Art museum in Asumigaoka, Midori-ku, Japan

The Hoki Museum extends over 500 meters of gallery space across three floors, displaying 120 permanent realist paintings from its collection of 500 works.

The museum, designed by Nikken Sekkei architectural firm, opened its doors on November 3, 2010, establishing Japan's first institution dedicated to realist painting.

The collection features works by 60 Japanese artists, including Morimoto Sosuke and Noda Hiroshi, who create detailed oil paintings reflecting their precise observations.

Visitors can reach the museum by taking the JR Sotobo Line to Toke Station and continuing by bus to the Asumigaoka Higashi 4-chome stop.

The building structure incorporates curved corridors and strategic viewpoints that integrate the surrounding green landscape with the interior gallery spaces.
