Futagoyama stable, Sumo stable in Shibamata District, Tokyo, Japan
The Futagoyama stable, part of the Dewanoumi group, operates from a dedicated facility at 2-10-13 Shibamata, where athletes train and live together.
Former ozeki Miyabiyama established the Futagoyama stable in April 2018 by separating from the Fujishima stable and relocating to Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture.
The stable maintains traditional sumo practices while connecting with international audiences through their YouTube channel Sumo Food, featuring English subtitles.
Visitors can reach the stable within 8 minutes by walking from Shibamata Station on the Keisei Kanamachi Line in eastern Tokyo.
In 2022, the stable celebrated its first sekitori promotion when wrestler Roga, of Russian and Mongolian heritage, reached the juryo division.
