The Furui Family Residence spans 13.9 meters in length and 8.1 meters in width, featuring thatched roofing and wooden construction methods.

Built during the late Muromachi period, the house underwent substantial modifications during the Genroku era, transforming its layout into a four-room configuration.

The interior layout includes three distinct spaces: the Omote room with wooden flooring, and the Nando and Chanoma areas with bamboo mat foundations.

The residence opens for visitors on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, except between December 28 and January 4.

Beneath the house lies a large turtle stone that, according to legend, expelled water to protect the building during multiple fire incidents.
