Momogaike Park

Momogaike Park is a public green space in Abeno ward and features a central pond, walking paths, and children's areas spread across the grounds. Within the space you will find a jogging track, exercise equipment near the entrance, and numerous benches placed under shaded spots for resting.

The park was created in 1933 from a converted irrigation pond that was previously used for fish farming. This transformation of an agricultural site into an urban green space marked an important shift in how the area developed.

The park holds many peach and cherry blossom trees that draw visitors during spring hanami celebrations when flowers bloom. People gather here to sit beneath the flowering branches and enjoy the traditional season of renewal.

The park is easy to navigate with different areas designed for various activities, from fitness to relaxation. The pathways are clearly marked and lead to different spots, making it simple for visitors to find their preferred areas.

The central pond has a small island reachable by a bridge that offers separate play facilities for children. Visitors often miss this island detail even though it creates a distinct area with its own character.
