Château de Kataharaishiki

Kataharaishiki is a Japanese castle built on elevated terrain that combines traditional wooden structures with stone walls. The remains display the typical architecture of defensive fortifications from that era.

The castle developed during the Sengoku period when regional lords built defensive positions across the Owari area. It played a role in power struggles between rival feudal lords of that turbulent era.
