臼井橋

The Usui Bridge spans across the Shinano River, connecting the Akiha and Minami districts of Niigata City with a length of 514.6 meters and width of 12.5 meters.

The first wooden Usui Bridge, constructed in 1927, remained standing during the 1964 Niigata earthquake while many other structures collapsed in the region.

The bridge serves as a central gathering point for local festivals and community events, connecting residents from both sides of the Shinano River throughout the year.

The current bridge, opened in 2015, features reinforced steel construction and expanded lanes to accommodate increased traffic between the Usui and Konariba districts.

The bridge structure incorporates three distinct spans, with its main section reaching a maximum span length of 70 meters over the Shinano River.
