Shōun-ji, Buddhist temple in Shibuya, Japan

Founded in 1541 as a small sanctuary, Shōun-ji underwent major renovations in 1749 when the main hall and additional structures were built.
The temple follows Soto Zen Buddhism principles, emphasizing meditation practices and considering daily activities like eating and walking as forms of meditation.
Memorial services take place in the dedicated hall, while a cinerarium building with a golden Buddha statue stores cremated remains.
The temple houses a Dream Kannon statue created by sculptor Rokuya Nagae, believed to transform negative dreams into positive ones.
