万葉クリエートパーク, Recreation park in Ohira, Japan
The Manyo Create Park is a recreation park covering around 32 hectares with distinct activity areas spread across the grounds. The Wanpaku Land section features athletic equipment and one of the longest roller slides in Miyagi Prefecture.
The park developed from the former Showa Manyo Forest area and received its current name through a naming rights agreement with Takakatsu Holdings Corporation. This transformation turned the wooded land into a modern recreation facility.
The Shikisaien garden displays water plants like iris, lotus, and water lilies set along wooden pathways and bridges that guide visitors through the wetland areas.
The park opens daily except during New Year holidays and offers free entry with parking for around 500 vehicles. Visitors can rent equipment for park golf and find various activities distributed throughout the grounds.
During winter months, the park transforms into a sledding destination with two maintained slopes covered in vinyl grass and water wax for ideal sliding conditions. This seasonal change makes it a popular winter outing spot for families.
