The DMM Kariyushi Aquarium initiated its operations on May 25, 2020, following modifications to address safety requirements during the global health situation.
The exhibits present both freshwater and marine species, reflecting the connection between Okinawan communities and their surrounding waters throughout generations.
Located inside the iias Okinawa Toyosaki complex, the aquarium maintains daily operations from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with direct access to parking facilities.
Visitors walk across a glass floor suspended six meters above an aquatic habitat while observing marine creatures swimming beneath their feet.
