天塩大橋

The Teshio Bridge extends 516 meters across northern Hokkaido, featuring four steel box girders and four steel plate girders in its construction.

Construction of the Teshio Bridge began in 2016 under the Hokkaido Development Bureau and reached completion in 2019, replacing an older structure.

The bridge serves as a meeting point between the communities of Teshio and Horonobe, hosting local events throughout the year.

The structure incorporates a 10.5-meter roadway and a 2-meter pedestrian path, accommodating both vehicular traffic and pedestrians along National Route 40.

The bridge design includes specific measures against winter conditions, particularly addressing visibility issues caused by ground-level blizzards in the region.
