Dzērve Manor, Manor house in Cīrava Parish, Latvia.
Dzērve Manor is a manor house in Cīrava Parish, Latvia, featuring an English-style park spanning roughly 6.7 hectares created between 1870 and 1880. Tree-lined avenues of linden and birch trees frame and surround the main building throughout the grounds.
The von Derschau barons built the manor during the early 19th century as their country residence. Following a fire in 1905, engineer-architect Gvido Berči oversaw its reconstruction from 1906 through 1912.
The manor displays neoclassical features with preserved details like a white tile fireplace and a staircase featuring its original handrail from the 19th century. These elements reflect the refined tastes and way of life that shaped the house over generations.
The manor now operates as Dzērve Elementary School, allowing visitors to see the historical building and its architectural details. The surrounding park grounds offer space to walk among the tree-lined avenues and experience the layout of the landscaped area.
The park contains an exceptional oak tree with a diameter of about 4.6 meters (15 feet) and a horse chestnut tree with a circumference of roughly 3.2 meters (10.5 feet). These ancient trees stand as silent witnesses to centuries of the estate's story.
