Memorial Ossuary, Kumanovo, Memorial monument in Kumanovo, North Macedonia
The Memorial Ossuary features an obelisk structure surrounded by a park, containing the remains of soldiers who fought during World War II.
Constructed in 1957, this memorial commemorates the beginning of the uprising against Nazi occupation that started on October 11, 1941 in the region.
The memorial complex, designed by architects Sreten Stojanović and Kosta Zordumis, represents the Socialist Realist architectural style of Eastern Europe.
Visitors can find the memorial site north of Kumanovo city center, positioned to the left of the main road ascending the hill.
The memorial grounds have transformed into an event venue, hosting the Revolution Festival and Moto Rock Fest with performers from North Macedonia and Serbia.
