The park spans 162 hectares with 114 hectares of green spaces, featuring lakes, walking trails, and recreational zones for outdoor activities.

Established in 1964 by President Adolfo López Mateos, the land was previously part of Hacienda Santa Ana, owned by Captain Blas López de Aragón.

The park contains an open-air theater, projection room, and multiple spaces where Mexico City residents participate in community events throughout the year.

The park welcomes visitors Tuesday through Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with entrances located on Avenida José Loreto Fabela.

The park includes artificial wetlands designed by environmental specialists from the National Autonomous University of Mexico to improve lake water quality.
