Dutch Resistance Museum, National museum in Plantage, Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The Dutch Resistance Museum presents wartime artifacts, photographs, and documents illustrating Dutch citizens' experiences during the Nazi occupation from 1940 to 1945.

The museum building, constructed in 1876, originally served as a Jewish cultural center named after Renaissance cartographer Petrus Plancius before becoming a resistance museum in 1999.

The permanent exhibition recreates Amsterdam streets during German occupation through authentic materials, featuring individual narratives of resistance and daily life challenges.

Located near Artis Zoo, the museum opens Monday through Friday from 10:00 to 17:00 and weekends from 11:00 to 17:00, with tickets priced at 16 euros.

The Resistance Museum Junior section presents true wartime stories through the perspectives of four children who lived during the German occupation period.
