Keizersveerbrug, Truss road bridge in Geertruidenberg and Werkendam, Netherlands.

The Keizersveerbrug spans 310 meters across the Bergsche Maas river with a steel structure carrying four traffic lanes and dedicated cycling paths.

The first bridge at this location opened in 1931, was destroyed during World War II, rebuilt afterward, and replaced with the current structure in 1978.

The bridge name originates from the historic Keizersveer ferry crossing, which Napoleon Bonaparte visited in 1811 during his inspection of regional infrastructure.

The bridge serves 83,800 vehicles daily on the A27 motorway, connecting the Land van Altena region with mainland North Brabant province.

Construction work began in January 2024 to replace this bridge with new spans featuring three lanes each and additional facilities for slow traffic.
