Sint Jozefkerk, Alkmaar

Sint Jozefkerk is a neo-Gothic church featuring a three-aisled cross basilica layout with round towers flanking the main facade. Ribbed vaults stretch overhead while brick pillars separate the central nave from the side aisles throughout the interior.

Architect Albert Margry designed this church in the neo-Gothic style, and it opened to worshippers in 1909. The building received Rijksmonument status in 2002, recognizing its importance as a cultural landmark.

Stained glass windows depicting religious scenes fill the interior with colored light and tell stories of faith throughout the space. These windows help visitors connect with the spiritual purpose of the building as they move through the aisles.
