Sint Stephanuskerk is a Gothic hall church featuring three naves of equal height and a tower rising prominently above the market square. Large windows flood the interior with light and reveal the structure of the soaring space.
The church was built starting in 1380 after a fire destroyed the earlier parish church on this site. Most of the construction was completed by 1466, establishing a substantial new religious center.
