Hinderstein, Medieval castle in Langbroek, Netherlands
The residential tower stands as a brick structure with a slate tent roof, featuring neo-Gothic windows and stepped gables from different construction periods.
The castle originated around 1300 when Hinder van Wulven established it, with subsequent modifications including wings added in 1847 and 1864.
The interior contains a gentleman's room decorated with oak wood paneling and Neo-Renaissance ceiling work, representing Dutch architectural traditions.
The castle gardens open to visitors on September 1, 2024, with entry costing €9.50 per person, including refreshments and garden access.
The medieval cellar beneath the tower maintains its original barrel vault design with functional viewing and shooting loopholes in the walls.
