Located at Voorstraat 71, ACU functions as both a music venue and community center, operating independently through volunteer management for over four decades.
After being taken over in March 1976, the former auto repair shop transformed into a cultural space with a bar and exhibition area by 1978.
The venue schedules concerts, disco nights, political gatherings, and punk performances while maintaining a vegan restaurant and library for community initiatives.
ACU operates Tuesday through Sunday with varying hours, accepts cash payments only, and implements strict policies against harassment and smoking.
