Water tower Schimmert, Water tower in Schimmert, Netherlands
The water tower features two spiral stair towers reaching 37.85 meters in height and includes five floors with a basement under a half-conical roof.
Construction of this water tower began in 1926 and finished in 1927, designed by architect Jos Wielders following the Amsterdam School architectural principles.
The structure represents early 20th-century Dutch water management engineering and received recognition as a Rijksmonument in 1997 for its architectural significance.
Located at De Bockhofweg 1, the tower stands at 170 meters above sea level on the highest point of the Schimmert plateau.
The tower displays fourteen vertical protrusions around its main body and incorporates red and yellow bricks in a distinctive Flemish bond pattern.
