Zonnehuis, Cultural center in Tuindorp Oostzaan, Netherlands.
The T-shaped building features brick architecture of the Amsterdam School style, with decorative stonework and four prominent facade pilasters at Zonneplein 30.
Built in 1932 by architect Jo Mulder, the structure served as a gathering place for workers from the Nederlandsche Dok and Scheepsbouw Maatschappij shipyard.
The center contains a grand hall accommodating 600 visitors for theater performances, concerts, film screenings, and community events throughout its history.
Stadsherstel Amsterdam acquired the building in 2002 and completed extensive renovations in 2005, maintaining its function as an events venue.
Natural stone sculptures at the rear of the building depict a family group, with parents flanked by children, representing community values.
