Frederikspark, Protected park in Haarlemmerhoutkwartier, Haarlem, Netherlands.

The Frederikspark spans between Dreef and Kleine Houtweg, featuring rectangular terrain with curved paths, meadows, and surrounded by white 19th-century villas.

The park received its name on June 14, 1876, after Willem Frederik Karel, Prince of the Netherlands, following its transformation from medieval playfield to landscaped grounds.

Garden architect J.D. Zocher Jr. designed the park in 1832, incorporating oval patterns and winding paths that reflect early 19th-century landscape architecture principles.

The municipality plans to expand green areas within the park by reducing the width of Kleine Houtweg, enhancing the recreational space for visitors.

Mari Andriessen's sculpture 'De kleine Johannes' stands in the park, representing the character from Frederik van Eeden's novel who lived nearby.
