Sognsvann

Sognsvann is a lake in the Nordmarka forest north of Oslo, lying at about 183 meters elevation and ringed by tall trees. A smooth path circles the entire shoreline for roughly 3.3 kilometers, providing clear views across the water and easy access to beaches and rest areas along the way.

The lake served as both a water source and recreation spot for Oslo from the city's early days. As the city grew through the 1900s, it became increasingly important for leisure, and transit connections later made it more accessible to residents.
