Swayambhunath, Buddhist temple in Nepal
Swayambhunath is an ancient religious complex atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley.
Known as the 'Monkey Temple', Swayambhunath dates back to the 5th century CE.
The stupa at Swayambhunath represents Buddha's mind, according to Tibetan Buddhism.
Aside from Buddhist monks and followers, the site is also visited by tourists for its stunning panoramic views of Kathmandu.
