Pogorzela

Located on the western edge of the Kalisz Upland, Pogorzela stands at the intersection of county roads connecting Krotoszyn-Gostyń and Koźmin Wielkopolski-Krobia.

The settlement emerged in the early 15th century under the ownership of the Pogorzelski family, who carried the Wczele coat of arms and maintained control of the area.

Saint Michael the Archangel Church, built between 1778 and 1785, represents late-Baroque architecture and remains a central religious structure in the community.

The town maintains administrative services and local government operations for its 2,037 residents while connecting to larger metropolitan areas through established county roads.

Multiple Polish monarchs, including Sigismund II Augustus in 1566 and Stanisław August Poniatowski in 1766, granted the town special privileges for hosting markets and fairs.
