Zgłobień, Agricultural village in Subcarpathian Voivodeship, Poland.
Zgłobień is a village in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship of southeastern Poland, located within Gmina Boguchwała just west of Rzeszów. It sits on gently rolling land, with farmfields and traditional buildings arranged around a central church.
From 1438 to 1611, this settlement was the center of a noble estate within Sandomierz Voivodeship and sat along the border with the Ruthenian Voivodeship. Over the following centuries it gradually lost that administrative role and became a farming village.
The Church of Saint Andrew the Apostle is the natural meeting point of the village, where locals gather for religious feasts and community celebrations. These events follow the liturgical calendar and give the year its rhythm in this part of Subcarpathia.
The village is easy to reach by car from Rzeszów and has the basic services you would expect in a rural area, such as a school and a local shop. Walking around is the best way to explore, as there are no large landmarks to navigate between.
A former grain storage building was transformed into a fortified manor house and now serves as an archaeology depot for the Rzeszów Regional Museum. It is one of the rare cases where a rural farm building ended up housing a museum collection.
