Mierzeszyn, Rural settlement in Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland
Mierzeszyn is a rural village in Pomeranian Voivodeship in northern Poland. The settlement sits within Gmina Trąbki Wielkie and connects to neighboring areas through regional road networks.
The village appeared in records with different spellings such as Miereszyn in 1686 and Miereszczyn in 1717. It served as a royal settlement under Polish Crown authority before administrative reorganization in the twentieth century.
The village maintains two significant religious structures, the Saint Bartholomew church and the Sacred Heart church, which represent local architectural and religious traditions.
The area is best reached by personal vehicle or regional bus services that connect through local roads. Visiting works well year-round, though spring and autumn offer pleasant conditions for exploring the rural landscape.
Eight distinct villages formed the original Mierzeszyn gmina until 1954, including Błotnia, Drzewina, Kozia Góra, Miłowo, Olszanka, Pawłowo, Sucha Huta, and Warcz.
