Skarbimierz is a small village in Opole Voivodeship, located in the southern part of Poland. It serves as the administrative center of Gmina Skarbimierz and is situated approximately 6 kilometers southwest of Brzeg and 40 kilometers northwest of Opole city.
The village became part of the Walbrzych Special Economic Zone in 2007, marking a shift in its economic direction. This transition from a purely agricultural settlement to one with industrial significance happened relatively rapidly.
The village maintains traditional agricultural practices while incorporating modern industrial developments, representing the evolution of rural Polish communities.
The village is most easily reached by car, as it sits in open countryside. Nearby towns and surrounding areas offer accommodation and dining options for visitors exploring the region.
A major international confectionery company established a large manufacturing facility here in 2007. This factory brought employment and fundamentally changed the character of this otherwise small, quiet rural community.
