Bąków is a village in Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland, located within Gmina Strumień. The settlement sits in a rural landscape with scattered houses and agricultural land typical of the region.
The village was first recorded in 1536 and historically belonged to the Duchy of Teschen. In 1552, Duke Wenceslaus III Adam granted the area to the Czelo family.
The population census of 1910 revealed a predominant presence of Protestant residents, followed by Roman Catholics, reflecting the religious diversity of the region.
The village is accessible via local road networks that connect to larger towns in the area. Visitors can reach essential services and nearby cultural attractions in Cieszyn County from here.
The western side of the settlement includes the former village of Rychułd, first mentioned in 1416. This older settlement area was later integrated with the main village and is now part of the same place.
