Galeria Bielska BWA

Galeria Bielska BWA is an art museum in Bielsko-Biała with two exhibition halls showcasing contemporary works by Polish and international artists. The institution holds more than 1,000 artworks in its collection and offers guided tours to help visitors understand the pieces on display.

The building was established in 1960 as the Pavilion of Visual Artists and occupies the site of a former synagogue destroyed during World War II. This location connects the gallery's artistic mission with an important but tragic chapter in the city's past.

The gallery plays a central role in the local art scene and hosts regular events like the Painting Biennale Bielsko Autumn that draw creators and visitors from across the region. These gatherings help shape how the city presents itself culturally.

The museum is easily accessible in the city center and can be explored on foot. Visitors should allow enough time to see both exhibition halls and the historical villa used for the permanent collection.

Since 2020, the gallery has used the historical villa of Theodor Sixt to display selected works from its collection in a different setting. This expansion allows visitors to experience artworks in an intimate, private environment.
