The Saint Catherine of Alexandria church features tall Gothic windows, a seven-story tower, and triple apses at its eastern side, built entirely of brick.
Construction of the church began in 1343 on the site of a wooden church from 1251, with completion of different sections spanning through 1442.
The church remains a central location for Catholic ceremonies and gatherings of the local community in the Warmian-Masurian region of northern Poland.
Located in central Braniewo at coordinates 54.381032, 19.824645, the church underwent extensive reconstruction between 1975 and 1986 following war damage.
The structure stands as the only church in the Warmia region with a triple apse design, displaying distinct architectural elements from the medieval period.
