Raster Gallery, Contemporary art gallery at Wspólna Street, Warsaw, Poland
Raster Gallery is an art space on Wspólna Street that displays paintings, photographs, installations, and multimedia works from Polish and international artists. The minimally furnished building presents rotating exhibitions in a white, contemporary setting.
The space began in 2001 from the work of art critics Łukasz Gorczyca and Michał Kaczyński, who had previously run an art magazine and gallery garage. This founding marked the start of an established platform for contemporary art presentation and publishing.
The venue shapes how contemporary art is perceived in the city and draws visitors interested in both established and emerging artistic voices. Its exhibitions bring together local and international perspectives, engaging audiences with current artistic conversations.
The space is open Tuesday through Saturday and provides free access to all current exhibitions for visitors. The rooms are easy to navigate, and the white interior allows an unobstructed view of all displayed works.
Beyond exhibitions, the venue also operates as a record label and publisher, producing limited edition art books and music releases. This dual activity sets it apart from typical galleries and shapes its profile as a major cultural institution in the city.
