The Rawka River flows through the reserve for 97 kilometers, creating diverse ecosystems with wetlands, meadows, and riparian forests.
Established in 1983, the reserve encompasses the Rawka River from its source to its confluence with the Bzura River.
Environmental education programs engage students and adults through outdoor botany and ornithology lessons along riverbank meadows.
Visitors can explore marked hiking and cycling trails within the protective zone while observing local plant and animal species.
The reserve contains over 540 vascular plant taxa, including 27 protected species, and provides habitat for 18 fish species.
