Rezerwat przyrody Szwajcaria Podlaska, Nature reserve near Terespol, Poland
The Szwajcaria Podlaska Reserve spans 24 hectares along the Bug River, featuring diverse forest stands and natural monuments on steep river slopes.
The Minister of Environmental Protection, Natural Resources and Forestry established this protected area in 1995 to preserve local ecosystems and landscapes.
The reserve contains geological formations and educational paths that demonstrate the natural heritage of the Podlasie region through interpretive stations.
Visitors can access the reserve through a 3-kilometer nature trail that starts at the parking area, marked with information boards about local flora and fauna.
The reserve includes old river beds that change water levels seasonally, creating habitats for white storks, herons, and cranes near the Bug River.
