Kaplica św. Walentego w Kamionce

Kaplica św. Walentego w Kamionce is a small wooden chapel located in the center of Kamionka village, distinguished by its simple, handcrafted construction. The building features a geometric interior with four supporting columns and a vaulted roof that reflects the functional wooden architecture of its time.

The chapel was built between 1906 and 1910, representing a religious movement that took root in the region during this period. The project was supported by local community members who wanted to create a place for their religious gatherings.

The chapel served the Mariavite community, which represented 25 percent of Kamionka's population in the 1930s, with celebrations held on February 14 and monthly gatherings.

The building is visible from the outside and easy to locate within the village, but it is currently not open for visits. Those interested in seeing the chapel should inquire locally beforehand or seek information from village residents.

The interior features a rotating tabernacle, an unusual element for a small village chapel that shows how thoughtfully the liturgical design was conceived. The combination of wooden architecture with this mechanical detail makes the place architecturally noteworthy.
