Collegiate church of Transfiguration in Garwolin

The Collegiate Church of Transfiguration features brick walls displaying neobaroque architecture with a three-nave design based on a Latin cross layout. Eight windows line the main nave with four on each side, while the presbytery contains two windows for balanced illumination.

An earlier church building from 1839 was destroyed, after which construction of the present structure began in 1890 and was completed in 1909. The consecration took place under Bishop Franciszek Jaczewski.

The church received its collegiate status in 2011, marking its elevation as a religious institution of greater importance in the community. This designation reflects its role as a spiritual focal point for people in Garwolin.
