Church of the Assumption in Zbąszyń, Baroque parish church in Zbąszyń, Poland.

The Church of the Assumption is a brick building with elaborate stucco decorations in Baroque style, standing in the town center of Zbąszyń. The interior contains multiple altarpieces and ornamental elements that decorate the nave and side areas of the church.

Construction began in the 1740s under the sponsorship of a local noble family and was completed about 15 years later. Following World War II damage, the interior wall paintings were carefully restored in the mid-20th century.

The church's dedication to Mary reflects the deep religious values of the local community. Walking through the interior today, you encounter ornate altarpieces and decorated surfaces that reveal how this space has served as the spiritual center of Zbąszyń for centuries.

The church is centrally located in town and is easily accessible on foot from the main square. Visitors should expect that access may be restricted during worship services out of respect for those praying.

The stucco work on the walls and ceilings dates mostly from the late 1700s and reveals the skilled craftsmanship invested in these details. These fine ornamentations are easily overlooked by visitors but offer insight into the artistic techniques of the Baroque period when examined closely.
