Palace in Miłków, Baroque palace in Miłków, Poland.
The Palace in Miłków is a Baroque residence built on a horseshoe-shaped plan with two protruding wings that form alcoves beneath a mansard roof. The structure displays typical Baroque proportions with symmetrical design and carefully articulated facade details.
Carl Heinrich von Zierotin built the palace between 1666 and 1667 as an expression of Baroque power and taste. A fire in 1768 caused significant damage, leading Count Johann Nepomucen Lodron-Laterano to oversee its reconstruction and restoration.
The main entrance displays a columned portico that extends to the first floor and is crowned with an architrave and pediment bearing the Matuschka-Toppoltzan family coat of arms.
The building operates as a hotel offering multiple room types, including Panorama Rooms with views toward Śnieżka and the Karkonosze Mountains. Visitors can explore the interior spaces such as the hall, staircase, and western wing, which retain their original 19th-century furnishings and decoration.
The property is surrounded by a park featuring a fish pond, which creates a rural setting around this formal residence. This landscape design provides a quieter counterpoint to the elaborate interior spaces of the building.
