Saint James church in Tolkmicko, Gothic church in Tolkmicko, Poland
The church features massive brick walls in monk bond pattern, with pointed windows between buttresses and a four-sided tower at its western end.
The brick structure replaced a wooden church in the third quarter of the 14th century and received its consecration in 1376 by Bishop Henry III of Warmia.
The interior holds neo-Gothic furnishings from the 1900-1902 renovation, including altars and sculptures that reflect the regional ecclesiastical traditions of Warmia.
The religious building stands at Kościelna Street 2 in Tolkmicko and maintains its function as an active Roman Catholic parish church.
The church structure includes uncommon transverse roofs over each aisle bay, a design characteristic similar to the parish church in Orneta.
