Łuk triumfalny w Jabłonnie

Łuk triumfalny w Jabłonnie is a stone gateway featuring warrior and shield-bearer figures set within the palace and park complex of Jabłonna. The structure displays classical architectural features and is integrated into the surrounding grounds.

The monument was built in 1837 following Henryk Marconi's design and honors Prince Józef Poniatowski, a distinguished Polish military commander. Its construction reflects a period of commemorating important figures in Polish military history.

The arch stands within the palace and park complex of Jabłonna and merges classical Roman forms with Polish symbols from the 19th century. Visitors see warrior figures and shield-bearers that shape the architecture and create an enduring reminder of an important historical period.

The monument underwent extensive restoration work, which included installing two new statues on its structure. Visitors can explore the gateway from various angles within the park and view it as part of the larger palace grounds.

The gateway merges the classical Roman design vocabulary with symbolic elements created specifically for the Polish context. This fusion of European architectural traditions with local significance makes it a rare example of a hybrid commemorative form.
