The palace in Barzyna is a mansion built in 1693, standing on the Elbląg Upland within a landscaped park. The main building is accompanied by former farm structures from the period when the property operated as a working estate, and the whole complex remained occupied until the mid-20th century.

The palace was built in 1693 for the von Bodeck family. Later it passed to officers and farmers who ran the estate until the mid-20th century. The manor house and its farm buildings date from these successive periods of use.

The village of Barzyna lies in the former East Prussian district of Rosenberg, and the palace was the seat of the estate that shaped it. The name Barzyna is the Polish form of the German Barzau, used until 1945. Visitors can still read the layout of a manor village: palace, park and farm buildings grouped together.

The property lies in the remote Warmian-Masurian region and is best reached by local roads. The grounds are most accessible during warmer months when pathways through the park are in good condition.

In its final operating years, the estate housed large herds with over one hundred horses and several hundred sheep grazing across its pastures. This intensive agricultural use came to an end with World War II.
