Pałac z otaczającym parkiem w Barzynie

The palace in Barzyna is a historic mansion set within landscaped parkland located on the Elbląg Upland. The main building stands surrounded by grounds that retain former farm structures from when the property functioned as a working estate.

The palace was built in 1693 and passed through multiple owners including prominent noble families. The estate continued to function as a working property through subsequent changes in ownership and remained occupied until the middle of the 20th century.

The estate represents the architectural heritage of the Warmian-Masurian region, reflecting the preferences of noble families who resided in the area.

The property lies in the remote Warmian-Masurian region and is best reached by local roads. The grounds are most accessible during warmer months when pathways through the park are in good condition.

In its final operating years, the estate housed large herds with over one hundred horses and several hundred sheep grazing across its pastures. This intensive agricultural use came to an end with World War II.
