Park of Scouts

Park of Scouts is an urban green space in Ostra Górka situated between the Black Przemsza River and Ostrogórska Street. It connects to Schön Park along 1 Maja Street and runs through a residential area surrounding a medical academy.

The park was created following the regulation of the river in a floodplain valley behind protective embankments to serve the community. This location on the river's edge shows how the city developed green space in areas that were previously threatened by flooding.

The park takes its name from the Scouts movement and reflects a connection to local youth activities. This heritage is visible in the spaces where school groups and young people regularly spend time together.

The park features new walkways, benches, bicycle racks, and modern lighting for comfortable visits. Visitors will find an outdoor fitness area, a chess corner, and easily accessible spaces with monitored pathways.

The park includes a specialized animal training area with facilities for dogs, featuring ramps, hurdles, and tunnels designed for Rally-o sport activities. These training facilities are uncommon in the area and draw owners who want to train their dogs in an organized way.
