Kanał Grunwaldzki, Historic canal in Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, Poland.
The Grunwaldzki Canal stretches 470 meters, connecting Lake Kotek with Lake Tałtowisko through reinforced concrete banks at a depth of 1.8 meters.
Engineers constructed the canal between 1765 and 1772, naming it after the nearby settlement of Zielony Lasek, formerly known as Grünwalde.
The waterway forms part of the protected Masurian Lake District landscape, supporting local fishing activities with populations of perch, pike, and eel.
A road bridge crosses the canal approximately 50 meters from Lake Kotek, providing essential connections between the towns of Ryn and Mikołajki.
The canal underwent an 11 million złoty modernization project that included deepening operations and the installation of wildlife crossings along its banks.
