Kolonia Amerykańska is a residential complex built in the 1920s in the Giszowiec neighborhood, consisting of six villas designed in Anglo-Saxon style. The houses feature varied window designs, brick chimneys, and spacious entry halls with fireplaces.

The complex was established in 1926 following an agreement between local investors and American companies after Upper Silesia's division. The Silesia-American Corporation took over management, shaping the character of this residential settlement.

The villas carry names of American states, reflecting the area's connection to transatlantic influences during the interwar period. Walking through the neighborhood, you notice how this theme appears in the buildings' design and layout.

The villas are located on Górniczego Stanu Street and remain privately occupied, so visitors should respect residents' privacy. The best way to explore is a quiet walk around the exterior of the buildings to observe their architectural features.

The original property included a tennis court and a nine-hole golf course, reflecting the upscale lifestyle concept of that era. These recreational amenities were unusual in Upper Silesia at the time and show how the settlement stood apart from other residential areas.
