Palestinian National Authority

The Palestinian National Authority is a government agency in Ramallah, Palestine, handling civil administration in designated parts of the West Bank. Its ministries and offices occupy several buildings throughout the city.

This body formed in 1994 after the Oslo Accords and took over administrative duties in parts of the West Bank and Gaza Strip. Its structures evolved over the following decades.

The Palestinian National Authority maintains educational institutions, cultural centers, and heritage preservation programs to strengthen Palestinian identity through official recognition and support.

Access to government buildings requires coordination through official channels and carrying identification documents. Security checks at entrances are standard.

Different administrative zones in the West Bank fall under varying levels of authority. This division affects the daily work of the agency.
