Lunca Joasă a Prutului Inferior Natural Park

Lunca Joasă a Prutului Inferior Natural Park spreads across wetlands, lakes, and floodplains along the lower Prut River in eastern Romania. The area contains multiple information centers, clearly marked walking paths, and designated spots for observing wildlife.

This area was officially designated as a protected park in 2004, marking an important step to preserve a critical wetland ecosystem. The protection status reflects the valley's ecological importance for the broader region.

Traditional fishing and farming practices shape daily life in the surrounding villages, passed down through generations. People here still work with the river's seasonal rhythms, maintaining a connection to the land that defines their communities.
