Pargolovo

Pargolovo is a municipal settlement in the northern part of Saint Petersburg with residential neighborhoods and parks. The area is shaped by a Gothic church and a historic cemetery that serve as its defining landmarks.

The settlement began in 1746 as the family estate of Count Peter Ivanovich Shuvalov following a land grant from the Empress. It later grew into a neighborhood with religious and cultural institutions.

The area contains the Yellow Dacha, a manor house set within a park featuring ponds and a hill named Parnassus. This historic building sits within its own distinctive landscape that makes it memorable.
