Serebryany Bor, Protected nature area in northwestern Moscow, Russia.
Serebryany Bor is a forested area in northwestern Moscow covering more than 300 hectares, surrounded by a loop of the Moscow River. Pine woods alternate with sandy riverbanks, while footpaths run through the green terrain.
The construction of the Khoroshevskoye canal separated this land from the mainland and turned it into an island. In October 1991, the area received protected status as a natural monument.
This forest park represents a vital recreational space where Moscow residents gather for outdoor activities, family celebrations, and community sports events.
Several nearby metro stations offer access points to the park, including Polezhayevskaya and Shchukinskaya. Some areas provide equipment rentals for outdoor activities on the river or along the trails.
The wooded zone hosts residential properties belonging to wealthy owners among the public areas. Despite this private development, the land remains classified as a regional natural monument.
