GlavClub, Music venue and entertainment enterprise in Moscow, Russia.
GlavClub is a multi-level music venue in Moscow, Russia, with a main hall, a bar area, and a dedicated space for merchandise. The main hall can hold several hundred people and is equipped with a sound system suited for concerts of different scales.
The venue opened in 2006 under the name Club B1 Maximum and quickly became one of the main destinations for live music in Moscow. It was later renamed GlavClub, a change that marked its settled place in the city's music scene.
GlavClub is known mainly for rock and alternative shows, but also draws fans of electronic music and hip-hop. The crowd tends to be mixed in age, and many attendees travel from other cities for specific acts.
Arriving before the show starts gives you time to find the bar and settle into a good spot before the main hall fills up. The different areas on each level are easy to find, so a quick look around when you arrive is enough to get your bearings.
The club hosts Zhiza Fest each year, a gathering that draws attendees from across the region who would not otherwise visit Moscow for a show. The festival's name comes from a Russian slang word for 'life', which gives the event a deliberately informal feel.
